Dawson County commissioners Tuesday reached an agreement in establishing a reinvestment zone for the location of a proposed electrical energy storage facility.The proposed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), planned to be located on 10 acres of former cotton fields on S. Elgin Ave., is capable of storing energy for future use when demands for electricity are high.Named the Al Pastor BESS Reinvestment Zone, the agreement is good for five years.
