City officials are hoping for an even better day this coming Saturday after enjoying good success during the first weekend of a Community Cleanup effort. “It went really good,” Ida Rodriquez with the city’s code enforcement office said about the cleanup effort targeting the north side of town this past Saturday. “We had a good crowd of volunteers show up but we could always use more,” she added. She said they loaded and took eight trailer loads of material to the landfill, completing the task in just half a day.
