Lamesa City Manager Joe Hines updated council members Tuesday about the cost of converting a municipal building into a future animal shelter.The building, located on S. Dallas Ave., is currently used for storage.The current municipal animal shelter, located near the landfill, is too small to accommodate a growing number of stray and abandoned dogs.
