Lamesa police have cleared 18 cases of criminal mischief reported throughout the city during the past two months, according to an announcement from Police Chief Dale E. Alwan Jr. Those multiple cases include the vandalism which occurred in January to the artificial turf on the football field at Lamesa High School. About 1 a.m. last Thursday, Alwan reported, police stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of S. Ave. M that they had been looking for in connection with numerous vandalism incidents.
