There may be only two items on Lamesa City Council’s agenda, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be a short meeting.Council members are conducting a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday in City Hall at 601 S. 1st Street.The council will consider a professional services agreement between the city and Safebuilt Texas, LLC to provide consultation services to the city inspections department.They will then continue discussions about the 2022- 2023 operating budget during a workshop session.The council is expected to discuss with department heads about funding for water/wastewater, solid waste and other budgets for city services.
