Both Lamesa and Dawson County continue their record of increases in their monthly sales tax rebates.This month’s rebates represent local sales taxes collected by merchants and sent to the Texas comptroller’s along with the state sales tax revenue. The local tax revenue is then rebated monthly to the city, county or other entities for which it was collected.The November rebates represent purchases made during September and the third quarter of the year.Dawson County’s check of $107,904 is 19.8 percent more than the $90,029 returned to the county in November 2020.
