BROWNFIELD - At the top of the agenda for the Brownfield City Council meeting Thursday was a discussion of regulating electric signs within city limits. Council members were asked to consider standards for electronic billboard signs in the city. The discussion focused on regulations and penalties for signage companies that do not follow zoning guidelines. Stipulations include size, location, and also the content of the signs. Reference was made to larger cities currently inundated with flashing, blinking and strobing signage along their roadways.
