SNYDER – The city council unanimously voted to propose a tax rate of 0.4443 per $100 valuation for the fiscal year 2022-2023 at Monday’s meeting.This is a decrease from the fiscal year 2021-2022’s rate of 0.4800 per $100 valuation. If the proposed rate is adopted, it’s predicted to generate $7,939 less than last year in property taxes.The city staff proposed a 0.4628 rate leading to a levy of $2,664,715 which is $98,580 more than 2021-2022.Sarah Jamison, at large council member, made the motion to propose the 0.4443 rate.
