Every year around this time, members of the La Trinidad Methodist Church at 2002 S. 4th Street host a holiday luncheon.It’s to not only to raise funds for the church, but to also satiate those craving a turkey meal a month before Thanksgiving Day.Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 23 this year, but church members are hosting their holiday meal a month earlier from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., Friday. Each plate costs $13.The congregation is supplying the turkey and dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, bread and tea.
