The Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas Parade Saturday night brought out a ton of kids visiting with Santa, making gingerbread houses, seeing a parade that cruised around Forrest Park and watching a fireworks show to wrap up the evening.The lighted holiday parade consisted of about a dozen entries of classic cars, fire trucks, a stallion named Frio and a cart pulled by two miniature horses.Howard College’s entry of Santa and his sleigh earned the Chamber’s $100 award for having the best decorated display.“Even though the parade was small in numbers, people seemed to enjoy it, and a lot ...
