The Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Christmas in the Park festivities from 5 p.m. until about 7:15 p.m. Saturday, with a lighted parade in the park and a fireworks show in the rodeo grounds.The Christmas activities have been held around the downtown square in the past, but this year everything is planned to happen at Forrest Park, including the community center, and the nearby rodeo grounds.This also will be the first time for fireworks to be part of the festivities.“We’ve never had fireworks and stuff.
