Numerous events are being planned by the Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce during the next few months, according to Chamber President Karen Mize. Mize gave an update on the Chamber’s current and future activities during the board of directors’ monthly meeting this past week. The Chamber will be holding an open house on Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mize said the annual Trunk or Treat event downtown will be held on Halloween, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Resound Networks will be sponsoring the Chamber’s business costume contest that day and also will be the judges for the event.
