The Lamesa Chamber of Commerce is hosting an officer appreciation event on Aug. 13 to give the community of Lamesa a chance to meet their local law enforcement. The chamber is encouraging everyone in the community to attend. The meet-and-greet event will be held at Forest Park Community Center from 4-6 p.m. It is sponsored by United Supermarkets and the Lamesa Chamber of Commerce. Due to several changes within local law enforcement recently, the Chamber feels strongly about the community knowing who is protecting them daily.
