Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce board members are postponing the Chamber’s annual banquet so the board can focus on hiring a new Chamber president.The banquet is usually conducted each February, but was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.“We haven’t set a date yet,” said Chamber board chairman Josh Freitag about scheduling a new date for the banquet. “We really want to make sure the president gets things running before we set a date.”Former Chamber President Karen Mize ended her nine-year tenure with the Chamber last month to accept a position with B&B Roustabout.The Chamber’s banquet is held each ...
