The St. Margaret Mary and Our Lady of Guadalupe churches will hold posadas beginning this coming Sunday and continuing nightly through Sunday, Dec. 23 in homes throughout Lamesa. The word posada means “inn” or “shelter” in Spanish. The Bible story of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem and their search for a place to stay is re-enacted in the posada tradition.
