SNYDER– Children were able to learn about local and exotic insects at the Scurry County Museum Thursday.Local entomologist Deanna Holladay and Dale Neves showed children their displays they made throughout the years.Neves, who taught in Snyder, is well known for showing her collection to her students and many classes throughout the years of teaching.Holladay studied entomology at Texas Tech and still has projects she made in college that she enjoys discussing.Holladay has a large collection of insects from West Texas. She taught participants about how she collects specimens along with the steps and tools she uses with making a display.–
