BROWNFIELD – The Brownfield Police Department is asking the community to donate coats and blankets. They ask the coats and blankets to be lightly used and clean to brand new. Anyone interested in donating can do so by bringing the items to the department, placing them in the box, or delivering them to the working receptionist.The police department will be collecting donations until the beginning of March. Police Chief Tony Serbantez said this community service is not just for the holiday but for the winter season.“Last year and years past, people have brought us blankets for the homeless,” Serbantez said.
