ANDREWS – Andrews Independent School District board members on Tuesday approved a transportation fleet update to the tune of nearly $1 million, according to school officials. Trustees followed an administrative recommendation to approve purchasing four yellow buses, a smaller bus for special education students and nine SUVs at a total cost of $986,640. School officials said the purchase will be made with funds from the 2018 bond. Trustees authorized the final bond sale from the $33 million measure in 2011 on Tuesday night.
