Lamesa Community Players has scheduled auditions for the next production, Robert Harling’s popular and beloved play, “Steel Magnolias.” Auditions will be held at the theater, 214 N. Austin, on Monday, March 29, and Tuesday, March 30, at 6 p.m. Kenny Nance will direct this dramatic comedy featuring six strong Southern women. The play’s action is set in Truvy’s beauty salon in Chinquapin, La, where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done. Rehearsals will be held twice weekly.
