SEMINOLE – Barely beating a deadline mandated by law, the Texas Attorney General’s Office (AG) issued a letter opinion Thursday in response to challenges by Seminole Independent School District (SISD) to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests made by the Seminole Sentinel. The opinion, in a letter dated July 17, said SISD “failed to demonstrate the applicability” of cited law to its challenges of disclosure. The letter, written by AG Open Division Assistant Attorney General Tim Neal, instructed SISD it “may not withhold any of the submitted information” in its challenges.
