Late night Saturday earthquake shakes up Scurry County SNYDER - A magnitude 3.5 earthquake shook north Scurry County on the evening of Nov. 14, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The quake occurred at 10:27 p.m., according to the USGS website. The earthquake registered last Saturday at latitude 32.908 degrees north and longitude 100.879 degrees west, just north of Little Rough Creek and west of Fuller Ranch Road.
