Press-ReporterThe Lamesa school board lost another member less than 24 hours after holding a special noon meeting Thursday.Board member Beverly Brewer resigned Friday morning, board president Rebecca Gonzales confi rmed Friday afternoon.“She just gave me the resignation as of today,” Gonzales said. “I didn’t even know she was resigning or that she had any intentions to resign.”Brewer could not be reached for comment.It is the third resignation from the board since March.Kelli Merritt was the first board member to resign.
