ANDREWS – The health department plunged into vaccinating Phase 1B qualifiers last week after receiving a state allotment Jan. 19. Andrews County Health Department Director Gordon Mattimoe said his agency was awarded a 500-dose allotment of Moderna’s vaccine during the Texas Department of Social Health Services’ (DSHS) Week Six distribution. The 500 doses received by the health department included 100 second-round doses for those awaiting their second shot, and 400 new doses.
