It’s over a week before Christmas and in the kitchen of the First Methodist Church, workers were stirring pots of green beans and pasta early Saturday afternoon.The 10 home baked turkeys, 7-8 large cans of green beans, about 30 small cans of yams, a batch of mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese; and uncounted cranberry sauce and banana pudding servings were all part of Lamesa AMPM Delivery staff’s cooking so that nobody went hungry this close to Christmas.Those 125 meals - including a few kiddie size plates were delivered to the elderly, those who can’t get out of the house ...
