The Lamesa Municipal Airport has been awarded a federal grant of $30,000 as part of the CARES Act aimed at economic relief from the impact of the novel coronavirus. Announcement of the grant, through the U.S. Department of Transportation, was made Friday by U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas). “As Texas reels from the economic destruction caused by the coronavirus outbreak, it’s important our airports have the resources they need to weather the storm,” Cornyn said.
