The annual 5K Run through Forrest Park enticed 26 athletes and one leashed dog to participate.Carlos Plata won first place in the adults division with a time of 19.59. Edger Gonzales came in second at 21.25 and Joseph Ruiz placed third at 23.10.In the youth division, Jordan Shofner came in first with a time of 24.02. Kaylynn Derry took second at 26.42, and Kole Derry came in third with a time of 30.13.The top three winners in each category won cash prizes.Entry fees benefited the Lamesa Legacy Co-op.
