32 new COVID cases reported in past week

Almost 70 residents of Dawson County have been diagnosed with COVID-19 during just the past two weeks, according to the latest report afrom the South Plains Public Health District (SPPHD).That report, issued Tuesday evening by SPPHD Executive Director Zach Holbrooks, also shows two more residents of Dawson County have died of COVID-19 since Dec. 21.The local death toll from the virus since it first arrived here in March of 2020 has now climbed to 83, according to information from the SPPHD and the Texas Department of State Health Serivces.Forty Dawson County residents currently have active cases of the virus, which ...
