Two men were able to walk away with only minor injuries after their pickups collided head-on and burned this past Thursday morning on a rural highway southwest of Lamesa. “After the crash they were both able to exit their vehicles,” Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Alex Key said. “They got out and their vehicles became engulfed in flames.” The accident happened about 7 a.m. on a curve along FM 829 just south of FM 2051, near Friendship Baptist Church.
