A family celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Leon and Debra Richter was held on Aug. 20 at Faith Temple Church in Lamesa.The couple were married on Aug. 8, 1972 at Foursquare Church in Lamesa, with Cecil Vest officiating the ceremony.Debra, the daughter of Herman and Doris Raines, and Leon, the son of Daniel and Inez Richter, were born and raised here and have been lifelong residents of Lamesa.Both are retired: Debra from Walmart and Leon from the Midland Independent School District.Members of Faith Temple Church, they love spending time with family and playing music.
