The curtain will rise Thursday evening for the first performance of the Lamesa Community Players production of “The Savannah Sipping Society.” Performances are scheduled Aug. 27-29 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 30 at 2 p.m. Cast members are Vicki Whitman, Terri Stahl, Cindy Sweet, Letha Leonard and Brenda Rinewalt. Due to the Covid 19 protocol, online ticket sales will not be available. Tickets will be sold only at the theater box office, which will be open at 214 N Austin Ave. Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. To ensure everyone’s safety, LCP’s facilities will be thoroughly sanitized before and after each performance.
