Dawson County has begun collecting new teddy bears and blankets for all Dawson County law enforcement agencies in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month. The bears and blankets will bring comfort to children during stressful and chaotic situations and help make law enforcement’s job easier as they assist with little ones, according to organizers for the drive.
