Former Lamesa residents Bobby and Debbie Caswell noted their 50th wedding anniversary this past Wednesday. Currently living in Lubbock, the couple celebrated their anniversary earlier this year on a cruise through the Panama Canal. Bobby Caswell and the former Debbie Askew were married July 10, 1969, at the United Methodist Church in Hermleigh by the Rev. Claude Nixon, a friend of the groom. Residents of Lamesa from 1979 to 1990, they also have lived in Abilene, Colorado City, Brownfield, Lamesa, Hewitt, and Waco. Bobby is retired from Texas Farm Bureau and Debbie is a retired educator.
