Tennis gets fifth at tourney

Lamesa High School junior Kaden Vela will be hoping to qualify for state when he competes at Saturday’s regional power lifting championships at Sundown.

After starting out the evening somewhat cold, Borden County’s softball bats heated up and the result was a 16-1 victory Monday over the Class 2A Post Antelopes.
The Golden Tornado girls track scored 110 points for third place in the team standings at last Friday’s meet at Denver City.
