School board approves stipend payments instead of salary increases
Lamesa school district employees aren’t getting a pay raises. Instead, returning staff will receive an estimated total of $300,000 in 1.5-percent to four-percent salary stipends.
Police look into recent burglaries
Lamesa Police Chief Josh Peterson didn’t have any firm specifics, but did report a rash of burglaries within the past two months.
City Council to host two public meetings
Lamesa City Council members are conducting two meetings this week. The first one is their regular meeting Tuesday night. They will convene again Thursday to take action on the new budget.
