Traveling through California

The fastest and least interesting way to travel through California is Interstate 5.To the west of the highway are hills and mountains. Not many roads go to the west over the Coastal Ranges. Due to the excessive rains, some of those roads are either closed or detoured. I wanted to visit Pinnacles National Park near Soledad but the only road from I-5 was closed due to flooding.One can see some of the crops in the San Joaquin Valley from the highway, and at some points near Los Banos the California Aqueduct parallels the Interstate.
