Dear EditorThis letter is in response to the recent budget approved by the Dawson County Commissioners Court. Due to my obligations to our business, I was unable to attend any of the meetings and deliver my opinion and statement in person. In fact, I believe that if the commissioners really wanted to hear public opinions and sentiments, they would schedule such a meeting in the evening so that people that work until 6 or 6 pm or have to pick up school children could actually attend and comment.I agree with giving county employees a much needed and deserved raise, however ...
