The Lamesa Golden Tornadoes are still seeking their first win of the season but new head coach Gaby Nichols is a long way from hitting the proverbial panic button.
The Golden Tornado Booster Club’s annual Meet the Tors will be this coming Thursday evening at Golden Tornado Stadium.
The 10th Annual Wayne Hogg Memorial Benefit, held last weekend at Plains Fairways, netted nearly $13,000 for local charities, with more still coming in.

Lamesa High School will have a closed campus this academic year for students in 9th through 11th grades. The policy doesn’t affect high school seniors.
