Persevering in perilous times

Near the end of Jesus’ ministry, He was with His disciples in Jerusalem. They commented on the beauty of the temple buildings. Jesus responded with a prediction about what would happen to them in the future. This naturally prompted questions, which led Jesus to expand on His prophecy. Knowing it would deeply trouble the disciples, He wove into His message words of assurance, saying, “See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.” (Matthew 24:6)

Soil Stewardship Week being recognized here

The Dawson County Soil and Water Conservation District has partnered with the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, Association of Texas Soil & Water Conservation Districts, Texas Wildlife Association, and Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association to highlight Soil and Water Stewardship Week and the importance of voluntary land stewardship in Texas.

Study shows impact of cotton research, promotion program

The 1996 Farm Bill requires The Cotton Board to conduct an independent, third-party evaluation every five years of the effectiveness of the Cotton Research & Promotion Program (the Program). The most recently concluded evaluation reflected well on the Program’s effectiveness both over the long-term (1986-2019) and over the last five years (2015-2019).
