If plans being proposed for a major upgrade of State Highway (SH) 115 in Dawson and Andrews counties eventually become reality, the eastern five miles of that road could take an entirely different route than the current highway.
The Texas Department of Transportation is scheduled to close Weaver Road, located just northwest of Lamesa, to all traffic starting Tuesday.
