The Borden County Coyotes took their second step toward repeating as the District 4-A softball champs last Saturday at Colorado City where they topped Westbrook, 13-3.
A couple of weeks ago the O’Donnell Eagles’ softball doubled last year’s games in their win column and now they’ve also got their first district win in this program.
After once growing up here playing in the Golden Tornado tennis program, Coach Jose Lucio feels like he’s seen just about everything in this game.
With district coming up later this week, O’Donnell Coach Blake Nichols continues being concerned with his Eagles’ lack of consistency at the plate.
Last year, both Borden County’s boys and girls golfers finished their season by teeing off in the UIL Class 1A State Golf Tournament.
Saturday at Denver City was another long day for the Golden Tors’ baseball team which fell to the Mustangs, 11-1, ina game stopped after five innings on the 10-run rule.
While college basketball’s final four will be battling it out this weekend at Glendale, AZ for NCAA supremacy four local hoop teams have some business to tend to themselves this week at Levelland.
