Golden Tornado head football coach Joseph Hood calls last Friday night’s first scrimmage at Sweetwater, in preparation for the 2023 high school football season, as a ‘good starting point’ now just over a week away from its season opener.
Most of the pre-season polls are looking for the Borden County Coyotes season to be a good one. Based on their first scrimmage last Friday, Coyote fans have plenty to cheer about.
The Golden Tornado Booster Club’s annual Meet the Tors, which helps signal the beginning of another fall sports season, has been set for approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Golden Tornado Stadium. Prior to Meet the Tors, Golden Tor football will have its second scrimmage against the Stanton Buffaloes in preparation of the 2023 season. The JV starts at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6 p.m.
Sign ups have been extended until next Friday August 25 for LTX Sports Flag Football.
