Golden Tornado head boys track coach Gerry Woodberry can relate to some the stress which today’s high school senior athletes are currently coping with as a result of the COVID-19 virus. Woodberry saw his own senior sports season cut short some 22 years ago due to an untimely injury. After finishing second at state in the Class 4A 100-meter dash in 1987 – with a blazing time of 10.34 – Woodberry had high expectations going into his senior season.
