Lamesa High School junior Kaden Vela enjoyed the type of weekend at the regional power lifting championships at Sundown that he won’t soon forget.Going into the meet, Vela was ranked fourth among the 12 qualifiers in the 114-pound weight class, but that didn’t keep him from moving up a spot and bringing home a bronze medal.“Kaden had an amazing weekend, especially after having some adversity on the bench on his third attempt.
