After shining against the district and area’s best, six Lamesa High School tracksters will now test their skill on the regional level Friday and Saturday at Abilene. The Region I-3A Track & Field Championships will be Friday and Saturday at Abilene Christian University’s Wildcat Stadium. The top two finishers in each event will advance to next month’s state track meet in Austin. “At this point, it’s real important that our kids go out and compete and give it their all,” said Lamesa Coach Gerry Woodberry.
