The Golden Tornadoes tennis team turned in another good showing in last weekend’s Brownfield Tournament finishing as the third best team behind Brownfield and Shallowater.“We got to see a lot of good competition last weekend,” Lamesa Coach Jose Lucio said.Lamesa’s top seeded boy Karmello Reyes placed second in singles.“After getting beat by the boy from Shallowater there’s a good chance that Karmello won’t see that kid again until regionals,” Lucio said.Reyes has been a regional qualifier in tennis the past two seasons.“Everybody’s going to have an off day now and then but hopefully this proved to Karmello he’s got to ...
