By thumping Slaton, 12-2, last Saturday afternoon, the Golden Tornadoes’ softball is advancing to the regional quarterfinals of the Class 3A state playoffs. The Golden Tornadoes will face Shallowater in a best-two-out-of three series beginning Thursday afternoon at Littlefield. That first game, and the second game on Friday at Littlefield, will begin at 5 p.m. If a third game is needed, it will be played at noon Saturday at Littlefield.
