It took the tiebreaker, but Billy Ray Smith wound up the winner in Week 3 of the Lamesa Press-Reporter’s annual football contest. Smith and Belinda Beck both turned in 11-1 records in guessing the winners of the listed games but Smith won top honors with a guess of 45 total points on the tiebreaker. That was only three points off the total of 48 points scored in the tiebreaker game, which saw Snyder beat Lamesa, 40-8.
