Lamesa’s seventh grade boys A basketball team won its fifth straight game Monday evening at Denver City, 33-18.“They matched up with us equally in size and speed,” Lamesa Coach Ramon Arguelles said. Arguelles praised his squad’s inside game which included Zavien Casillas, Jadrien Zapata and Justin Parra.“I called on my big boys down low, telling them that it was going to be up to them if we won this game tonight,” Arguelles said.“Our boys outrebounded a very talented team which had good-sized posts.”Obadiah Hernandez had 11 points and Zavien Casillas had 10 to lead Lamesa. Jadrien Zapata had six points.
