Sands High School freshman Landry Morrow proved on Friday she should be someone to watch in the Class 1A hurdles during the next three years. Competing on high school track’s biggest stage in Texas, Morrow placed second in the 300-meter hurdles at the Texas Track and Field Championships in Austin. Skimming over the hurdles in a time of 47.67, she was bested only by Abbott High School junior Rachel Kallus who turned in a time of 47.12 to win the event at Mike A Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus.
