The Sands girls basketball squad will be going into the playoffs on a high note after finishing district play on Tuesday evening at Ackerly with a 53-29 win over Borden County. “The girls came out in the first half with a lot of intensity,” Sands Coach Ben Connell said. “They played with a lot of heart and caused a lot of turnovers.” The Lady ‘Stangs jumped out to an 18-8 lead in the first quarter and held a 37-16 advantage at halftime.
